A stitch in (less) time
Hand quilting or just general mending can become time consuming when threading a needle. One thing that works for me is spraying the end of thread with hairspray. When dried, this will stiffened the thread and make the process much easier.
Cracked ceramic or pottery
Place a little bit of baking soda on top of the glue before sealing the pieces together. This will create a quick bond and seamless seal.
Mud, grease, or embedded dirt on hands or feet.
A handful of moistened sugar will get rid of this so much quicker than basic hand soap. After scrubbing hands, wash with hand soap and warm water.
